Myrtle Beach
Myrtle Beach is the center of the 60-mile long Grand Strand and has grown to become one of the world's most popular vacation destinations. Millions of visitors every year travel to Myrtle Beach to enjoy the beautiful beaches, attractions, activities, shopping and golf opportunities Myrtle Beach has to offer. The new Hard Rock Theme park is the area's largest and newest amusement park, followed by Myrtle Waves Water Park, NASCAR Speedpark, Family Kingdom, and the Pavilion Nostalgia Park. Hundreds of area golf courses have won national awards for their South Carolina beauty, challenging design, and excellence. Tanger Outlet, Coastal Grande Mall, and Broadway at the Beach provide numerous shopping and entertainment opportunities. And of course, the mild, sunny weather doesn't hurt either!
North Myrtle Beach

North Myrtle Beach was formed from the communities of Cherry Grove, Windy Hill Beach, Crescent Beach, and Ocean Drive and has become a thriving city in its own right. Seafood restaurants showcase the best of local fishing, and fishers themselves can enjoy saltwater catches off of Cherry Grove Pier and in offshore fishing expeditions. Golfers have the selection of many local award-winning courses such as Eagle Nest, Barefoot Resort, Grande Dunes, and Arcadian Shores. Shoppers have the selection of Tanger Outlet, the huge Barefoot Landing shopping center, Colonial Mall, and dozens of local stores. The beaches are wide and the water is warm!
Pawleys Island

Dating back to the 1700s, Pawleys Island is one of America's oldest resort areas. This charming area remains a popular coastal destination with beautiful private beaches, handmade local crafts, and fully-restored plantation homes open to public viewing.
Litchfield Beach

The historic charm of Litchfield Beach has helped keep it a favorite vacation destination for centuries. Beautiful beaches and cool breezes combine with recreation activities such as shopping, dining, tennis, and golf to create a wonderful beach town for any visitor or resident.
Murrells Inlet

The fishing village of Murrells Inlet is not to be missed. This beautiful location boasts salt marshes and quieter beaches. Fresh locally caught fish make the many fantastic seafood offerings mouthwatering, and those who want to catch their own have the option of daily offshore fishing excursions or inshore fishing and crabbing. Murrells Inlet is also home to Brookgreen Gardens, an enormous sculpture, wildlife, and botanical retreat.
Garden City Beach

Small and beautiful, Garden City Beach is one of the Grand Strand's most popular vacation destinations. A temperate climate, pristine beaches, and excellent services draw visitors year after year. There is a wide selection of nearby restaurants and attractions for those who want to have a great vacation and then come home to a smaller, quieter community.
Surfside Beach

Surfside Beach truly deserves a visit with its many restaurants, famous pier, and beautiful oceanfront state park, kept in its natural state. Swimming in the warm ocean waters along with sun and sand activities, golfing, and fishing greet every visitor. Don't forget to save a day for a visit to nearby Waccatee Zoo, a huge wildlife rescue for abandoned wild animals.
Atlantic Beach

Nicknamed the Black Pearl, this oceanfront community was founded in the 1930s by the local Gullah/Geechee people, descendants of North and South Carolina slaves. In defiance of Jim Crow laws and racism, the black residents founded successful businesses, hotels, restaurants, night clubs, and novelty shops. It remains as the only black-owned oceanfront town in the United States. Host to the Atlantic Beach Bike Rally and the Gullah/Geechee festival and located on a beautiful stretch of beach between Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach, Atlantic Beach is a popular destination for vacationers.
Aynor

Also known as the Little Golden Town, Aynor possesses the true charm of a small South Carolina town. Residents of Aynor pride themselves on community and civic responsibility. Began in the early 1900s as a bustling tobacco market, Aynor still thrives as a simpler, more relaxed place to live.
Conway

Historic Conway is one of South Carolina's oldest towns, dating all the way back to pre-revolution 1734. Conway contains a true sense of history. Historic sites and significant buildings are dotted throughout the city. Thanks to the Waccamaw River and a temperate climate, Conway earned the name of Tree City, USA for its giant and majestic wild oaks lining the roads--and sometimes, preserved in their natural places in the middle of roads! Festivals, recreational activities, and nearby Coastal Carolina university help add to the city's considerable culture.
Georgetown

Georgetown dates back to 1729 and is the third oldest city in South Carolina. The natural grandeur of live oaks dominates this city, and the place that once withstood attacks from British soldiers in the Revolutionary War and Union soldiers in the Civil War now stands peacefully. Georgetown is also home to a 1,000 foot boardwalk along the harbor and unique shops, restaurants, historic homes, and museums.
Loris

Having been founded in 1887, Loris is another of the area's historic locations, but thrives with small town atmosphere. It is located only a half-hour from the activities of the Grand Strand while remaining quiet and hidden away from congestion and traffic among old shade trees.
